At Encompass Preschool our Infant program is tailored to
offer the most individualized care in a group setting. We partner with parents
to follow the routine their infant is accustomed to at home, and we implement
this familiarity into our classroom environment. We provide individualized
lesson plans for each infant to improve cognitive, emotional and motor skills.
We provide updates throughout the day for each infant to let parents know each
aspect about their child’s day. Encompass Preschool offers the best care and
love for our infants and their parents in a Christian environment.
During the first year of life, an infant’s brain is busy
building brain connections through everyday experiences and interactions. The
more activities you provide, the more connections are made. Our infant
curriculum enables our caregivers and parents to help build brain connections
for infants at every turn.
Encompass Preschool utilizes the Frogstreet infant curriculum which actively engages and
stimulates infants through social interactions: talking, playing, moving,
singing, reading and signing. The activities are integrated across all areas of
development — physical, emotional, social, and cognitive. The activities
promote language development, a sense of self, sensory awareness, self-help
skills and much more.
We provide an extremely sanitary and safe environment for
our infants. Infants sleeping in cribs do not share their crib with any other
child to minimize the spread of germs and keep their sleeping area sanitary. To
maintain a sanitary floor area for the infants to crawl, explore and learn – we
have a "No Street Shoes” policy for teachers and parents alike.
Our diaper-changing station is forward-facing to the classroom. This allows
the teachers to change a child’s diaper while never having their back to the
classroom. With the high number of diaper changes that occur per day, this
setup enables teachers to both change a diaper and monitor the classroom at the
same time.
Toddlers need space to move, grow and learn, and activities
to express their own independence. A well-designed toddler environment allows a
stage for success. Our Encompass Preschool Toddler program does just
that by focusing on teaching and interacting with a purpose in a Christian
environment. Our toddler classroom environment is age-appropriate and safe, and
one that fosters the development of motor and cognitive skills, as well as
social and emotional growth. Our Toddlers’ experience is individualized
and flexible and includes Bible stories. We provide daily summary sheets for each toddler to let parents
know each aspect about their child’s day.
The emergent learning process we use is greatly apparent in
our Toddler curriculum. Integrated in the curriculum is expanding a
child’s knowledge and understanding by building from what a child already knows
or has experienced. It also transforms everyday routines into playful learning
moments. Our Frogstreet curriculum supports active learning through hands-on
play and exploration. It also offers our teachers the ability to take one
planned activity and achieve multiple learning objectives by individualizing
the classroom activity based on the skill levels of each child.
